TB
Aware in India
As a pilot program in the Tibetan
community of Northern India,
TB Aware uses a children’s book to teach Tibetan children how to prevent the spread
of TB. “TB Aware” provides basic information about TB through colorful
and engaging drawings and words to raise children’s awareness about TB.
The book describes the symptoms of TB, it teaches how to minimize the spread
of the disease, and it describes how the disease can be treated and cured.
Our goal is to distribute “TB Aware” to
every child in the Tibetan community living
in exile.
Future Projects
Translated into other languages with drawings that represent
the culture in which it is aimed at, “TB aware” can
be a powerful tool in the battle against the devastating
impact of Tuberculosis. Through a partnership
with Soft Power Health, our next book will be aimed
at educating the children of Uganda.
